USWA [USWA] (also USW)(in full the United Steelworkers of America)

one of the largest US ↑trade unions. It was established in 1936 as the Steel Workers’ Organizing Committee for steel, iron and tin workers, and took its present name in 1942. It now includes workers in other industries, such as rubber and plastics.
